The Sun Is Below the Horizon
Direct sunlight no longer illuminates the visible landscape as it did during daytime and sunset.
UNIVERSE — DORMANCY
PERSPECTIVE 03 OF 04
The red horizon has passed. Night becomes the established condition.
After Maghrib and the fading of twilight, darkness dominates the landscape. MICROBA uses Isyak as the UNIVERSE expression of DORMANCY: a quiet night interval after visible decline and before the first return of light.
ENTER THE PROTECTED INTERVALOBSERVATION
This perspective stays with the sky and landscape. It does not depend on human sleep physiology. The defining observation is the progression from sunset and twilight into established darkness.
Direct sunlight no longer illuminates the visible landscape as it did during daytime and sunset.
The remaining scattered light after sunset diminishes and the sky becomes progressively darker.
Darkness remains the prevailing environmental condition until the cycle approaches the returning light associated with the next stage.
THE PROTECTED INTERVAL
The UNIVERSE perspective gives DORMANCY a temporal form. Nothing needs to be biologically dormant for the night interval to express the pattern of quietness between two visible light states.
The visible transition at the horizon has already occurred; the environment is no longer in the sunset boundary stage.
Night becomes the dominant visual condition across the landscape.
The night interval remains intact until the first light of the next stage approaches.
SCIENTIFIC DISTINCTION
The UNIVERSE page uses DORMANCY as MICROBA’s stage metaphor for the established night interval. It does not claim that the universe, the Earth or all organisms become biologically dormant at Isyak.
Isyak is also a religious and temporal term whose calculated prayer time can depend on the convention used. This page focuses on the observable environmental progression from fading twilight into night rather than asserting one universal astronomical angle.
STAGE BOUNDARY
DORMANCY remains the established darkness of night. The first visible return of dawn light belongs to AWAKEN and is represented by Subuh in the MICROBA framework.
The landscape is within the quiet night interval after sunset and before the visible return of dawn.
AWAKEN begins when the first returning light becomes visible and the night condition starts giving way to dawn.
MICROBA PERSPECTIVE
In MICROBA’s framework, Isyak shows that continuation can include a period in which outward light recedes and the environment becomes quiet without the larger cycle ending.
Night is therefore not treated as failure or absence. It is an expected interval within a repeating rhythm that will later move toward returning light.
Darkness is part of the cycle, not the end of it.
