STAGE 01 — ORIGIN / PLANT

PERSPECTIVE 04 / 04

The Seed — Life in Potential

A seed carries a future before it begins to grow.

A mature seed contains an embryo and protective tissues, with stored reserves in many species. At ORIGIN, the seed is complete as a seed but has not yet entered soil, rested there or begun germination.

EXPLORE THIS ORIGIN

Embryo

The seed contains an embryonic plant organised before visible emergence.

Protection

Protective tissues help preserve the living structures carried inside the seed.

Stored Reserve

Many seeds include reserves that can support early development after the right conditions are reached.

Before Soil

Entering soil belongs to TRANSITION; resting and germination belong to later stages.

OBSERVATION

The future plant is carried before visible growth.

The PLANT perspective stays with the mature seed itself. Soil entry, dormancy in the new environment and germination are intentionally reserved for later stages.

01

Embryonic plant

The embryo contains organised structures that can later develop into root and shoot after germination begins.

02

Protective coat

The seed coat helps protect internal tissues from mechanical damage and environmental stress while the seed remains intact.

03

Resources

Cotyledons or endosperm in many species provide stored resources, but stored resources are not the same as active germination.

LIFE IN POTENTIAL

Complete as a seed. Not yet expressed as a new plant.

The ORIGIN image should keep the seed intact and outside the later soil story. Its meaning is already complete: embryo, protection and stored possibility exist before visible growth.

This page therefore ends before soil entry, dormancy and germination. Those events gain clarity when they are allowed to belong to TRANSITION, DORMANCY and AWAKEN respectively.

STAGE BOUNDARY

Keep the seed out of the soil until TRANSITION.

This is the critical PLANT stage boundary. ORIGIN ends with the complete seed. Entering soil belongs to TRANSITION; resting in soil belongs to DORMANCY; germination belongs to AWAKEN.

ORIGIN — NOW The complete seed

The embryo, protection and stored potential exist before the seed enters the habitat where the next stages can unfold.

NEXT — TRANSITION The seed enters the soil

Movement into the original habitat changes the condition around the seed. That is the PLANT perspective of TRANSITION.

MICROBA INTERPRETATION

Continuation can be carried silently before it is expressed.

MICROBA uses the seed to make potential visible: a complete carrier of possibility can exist before the next life stage is outwardly expressed.

The seed does not need to be shown resting in soil or germinating on this page for the idea to be complete. Those moments become clearer when each belongs to its own stage.

The seed carries continuation before the environment allows it to unfold.

Scientific observation and MICROBA interpretation are intentionally separated. ORIGIN stops before soil entry, dormancy and germination.
