1. Purpose
MICROBA COMMERCE is the part of MICROBA that handles the commercial transaction after a Product purchase is ready to proceed to checkout.
For the current MICROBA offering, the Product is MICROBA Moment.
The normal journey is:
MICROBA Moment in PRODUCT
-> Continue to Checkout
-> COMMERCE Checkout
-> COMMERCE Order
-> Payment confirmation
-> PRODUCT digital fulfilment
-> Moment of Truth Certificate
COMMERCE does not calculate the MICROBA Moment. It handles the Checkout, Order, payment state, commercial customer record, transaction record, notifications, and the commercial view of fulfilment.
2. Who Can Use COMMERCE
MICROBA Moment may be purchased by:
- a Visitor / Guest without creating a MICROBA member account; or
- a signed-in MICROBA Member.
Both use the same COMMERCE transaction engine.
A Guest purchase does not create:
- a MID;
- a PROFILE account;
- HIVE membership;
- a permanent Sponsor relationship.
A Member purchase uses the member reference supplied through the MICROBA member identity contract.
3. Starting a Purchase
A purchase begins in PRODUCT, not directly in COMMERCE.
For MICROBA Moment, PRODUCT collects or resolves the Product context, including the information needed to commit the Product selection. PRODUCT then creates an immutable Product snapshot and hands a trusted Commercial Request to COMMERCE.
When PRODUCT accepts the selection, the Continue to Checkout action should open a COMMERCE Checkout.
COMMERCE receives, validates and preserves the committed commercial facts. It does not silently recalculate PRODUCT pricing or Moment inputs.
4. COMMERCE Checkout
The current Checkout is presented as a secure digital checkout and contains four main sections.
4.1 Order
The Order section shows:
- Product name;
- SET quantity;
- price per SET;
- total;
- transaction currency.
The price and currency originate from PRODUCT and are validated by COMMERCE.
COMMERCE does not perform automatic foreign-exchange conversion.
4.2 Customer
For a Member, this section represents the member/contact information used for the Order.
For a Guest, this section represents the Purchaser / Contact.
The Guest purchaser may be different from the Product Individual.
Example:
Product Individual: Ahmad
Purchaser / Contact: Sarah
Sarah may purchase a MICROBA Moment for Ahmad without creating a MICROBA account for Ahmad.
4.3 Moment Context
The Checkout displays read-only Product context such as:
- Product Individual;
- selected date;
- Location of Process;
- exact Moment status;
- digital fulfilment information;
- readiness information.
These facts are shown for confirmation. COMMERCE does not own the Moment calculation.
If the Product context must be changed, return to PRODUCT and start a new valid Product context rather than altering committed Product truth in COMMERCE.
4.4 Payment
The current active method is:
COD / Manual Offline Settlement
For MICROBA Moment this does not mean that a physical item will be delivered cash-on-delivery.
There is no physical shipping workflow for the current Product.
The current method is a manual/offline settlement method that is confirmed by authorized COMMERCE administration.
5. Guest Checkout Rules
A Guest may complete a purchase without registration.
The Guest email is used for commercial purposes such as:
- Order communication;
- payment communication;
- Certificate delivery;
- secure Order access.
Entering a Guest email does not register the person as a MICROBA Member.
Registered email protection
If a Guest enters an email that already belongs to a registered MICROBA account, Guest Checkout is rejected.
The person must:
- sign in;
- return to PRODUCT;
- restart the purchase as the registered Member.
This protects registered identity and Sponsor precedence.
6. Member Checkout Rules
A signed-in Member uses the member identity context supplied to COMMERCE.
COMMERCE records the member reference on the Checkout and Order but does not become the owner of PROFILE identity data.
The Member purchase and Guest purchase models must remain separate.
A signed-in member should not be silently converted into a Guest transaction.
7. Product Individual vs Purchaser
The Product Individual is the person to whom the MICROBA Moment belongs.
The Purchaser / Contact is the person responsible for the commercial checkout and communication.
For a Member purchase these may normally be the same person according to the PRODUCT identity rules.
For a true Guest purchase they may be different.
COMMERCE preserves both concepts where supplied.
8. Placing the Order
Before placing the Order:
- review the Product and SET quantity;
- review the committed Product context;
- confirm the purchaser/contact details;
- review the payment method;
- accept the Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions;
- select Place Order.
After a successful Order creation, COMMERCE creates a canonical Order ID such as:
ORD-...
The Order page becomes the commercial reference for that purchase.
9. Order Confirmation Page
The Order page displays the current state of the purchase, including:
- Order ID;
- customer;
- SET quantity;
- Order status;
- payment status;
- digital fulfilment status;
- Date for Moment where available;
- Location of Process where available;
- currency;
- total.
The page uses the MICROBA black-glass and gold visual family over the shared Home background.
MICROBABY button
For signed-in Members, the Order page provides a MICROBABY button.
MICROBABY returns the Member to:
/my-microba/
Guest Orders do not show this member-only button.
10. Current Order and Payment Journey
The current manual settlement journey is approximately:
Order created
-> awaiting confirmation / approval
-> active processing
-> payment collected
-> payment verified
-> PAID
-> PRODUCT digital fulfilment
-> READY
The user-facing wording may be simplified, but payment status and Order status remain separate internal facts.
11. What Happens After Payment
Only an authoritative COMMERCE payment confirmation marks an Order as paid.
After the Order reaches PAID, COMMERCE publishes the paid event for downstream fulfilment.
PRODUCT then owns the next Product-specific work, including:
- final MICROBA Moment calculation;
- preparation details;
- Moment Result;
- readiness instant;
- Moment of Truth Certificate.
COMMERCE records a projection of the resulting digital fulfilment against the Order.
12. The 24-Hour Consumption Rule
For MICROBA Moment, the consumption rule belongs to PRODUCT governance:
Ready to Consume = canonical MICROBA Moment + 24 full elapsed hours
COMMERCE may display the Product-provided readiness result, but COMMERCE does not calculate or redefine it.
The Certificate can be issued before the 24 hours have elapsed. The readiness state controls when consumption is permitted, not when the Certificate may exist.
13. Digital Fulfilment States
PENDING
Payment or Product fulfilment has not completed.
READY
PRODUCT has produced the valid digital fulfilment and COMMERCE has recorded the fulfilment projection.
The Order may then provide access to the Certificate.
ERROR
The commercial Order remains safely recorded and paid, but PRODUCT fulfilment requires operational attention.
An authorized administrator can request an idempotent fulfilment retry. The customer should not create another Order simply because digital fulfilment encountered an error.
14. No Physical Shipping
MICROBA Moment is currently a digital Product experience.
COMMERCE does not ship:
- sugar;
- honey;
- water;
- a prepared beverage;
- a parcel.
The current Order is fulfilled digitally through the PRODUCT Moment result and Certificate process.
15. Transactional Emails
COMMERCE records transactional notifications against the Order.
Typical notifications include:
- Order received;
- payment confirmed;
- MICROBA Moment / Certificate ready;
- authorized resend notifications.
The current default sender is:
hello@microba.co
Actual mail delivery uses the site's configured WordPress mail transport.
16. Secure Order Access
Checkout and Order pages are private commercial records.
Access is normally granted by:
- the matching signed-in Member reference; or
- the signed secure access token in the Checkout/Order URL.
Do not share a secure Order URL publicly.
17. Member Commerce Workspace
A Member may access the COMMERCE-owned member workspace at:
/commerce/
The workspace is read-only and can show information such as:
- total Orders;
- total qualifying SETs;
- paid Orders;
- Certificates;
- recent Orders;
- recorded purchase value by currency;
- latest Order status.
A new purchase begins through PRODUCT, not by manually creating an Order inside the member workspace.
18. Common Situations
Checkout returns to PRODUCT before COMMERCE
This normally means PRODUCT validation did not pass.
Examples include an invalid Product date, incomplete Product context, invalid location, or unavailable Product configuration.
COMMERCE does not receive the transaction until PRODUCT successfully hands it over.
Guest email is already registered
Sign in to the registered MICROBA account and restart the purchase through PRODUCT.
Order is awaiting confirmation
The Order is recorded. The current manual/offline payment method requires authorized commercial confirmation.
Payment is confirmed but Certificate is not ready
PRODUCT fulfilment may still be processing.
If the Order shows a fulfilment error, Commerce Admin can retry the digital fulfilment without creating a new Order.
I need to change my Product Individual or Location of Process
Do not edit committed Product truth in COMMERCE. Return to PRODUCT and create a new valid Product context.
19. Important Boundaries
COMMERCE owns commercial transaction truth.
It does not own:
- MICROBA Moment formulation;
- the 24-hour readiness rule;
- Product pricing policy;
- PROFILE identity;
- HIVE sponsorship;
- Nectar entitlement calculation;
- SA ownership or issuance.
Those domains remain with their respective MICROBA modules.
20. User Summary
For the current MICROBA Moment journey:
PRODUCT decides what is being purchased
COMMERCE records and confirms the commercial transaction
PRODUCT fulfils the paid Moment
COMMERCE displays the commercial Order and fulfilment status
The same COMMERCE engine supports both Guests and Members while keeping their identity models distinct.
