MICROBA VISITOR USER MANUAL

Visitor guide for VISITOR 1.5.1: what MICROBA records when you browse, how referral links are remembered, how subscribing works, and how to unsubscribe.

Version 1.0.0 Public access Updated August 21, 2026
``` Document: MICROBA VISITOR USER MANUAL Document rev: 1.0.0 Describes: VISITOR 1.5.1 Classification: Public Updated: 2026-08-21 Supersedes: (none - new document) ``` ## What MICROBA records when you browse You can read MICROBA without an account. When you do, we record a small amount of information about the visit, not about you. We record which pages were viewed, when, the general time context of the visit, whether you arrived through a referral link or a campaign, and nothing more. **We do not know who you are.** Your visit is tagged with a random identifier stored in your browser. It is not your name, your email or an account. We cannot work backwards from it to a person, and we do not try to. If you are signed in as a member, browsing is still recorded this way. Your member identity is kept separate, in your PROFILE. ## Referral links If you arrive through a MICROBA member\'s referral link, we remember that reference for a limited period so the member can be credited if you go on to buy. This does not create an account, does not add you to anyone\'s network, and does not commit you to anything. It is a note that says which link brought you here. You can clear it by clearing your browser\'s cookies for this site. ## How long we keep it Browsing records are kept for a limited period and then removed automatically. They are not kept indefinitely. The current periods are described in the MICROBA Privacy Policy. ## Subscribing If you subscribe for updates, we ask for your email address and record: - your email; - the exact wording you agreed to; - when you agreed. **Subscription is two steps.** After you sign up we send a confirmation email. You are not subscribed and we will not send you anything until you click the link in it. If you never confirm, the sign-up simply lapses. We keep the wording you agreed to so that both of us have the same record of what you consented to. ## Unsubscribing Every message includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately. We keep a record that you unsubscribed - not to contact you, but so we can prove we stopped. It means you will not be re-added by accident. ## Your rights You may ask what we hold about you and ask us to remove it. Contact details are in the MICROBA Privacy Policy. Note that browsing records are not linked to your identity, so we usually cannot connect them to you even if you ask - which is the point of collecting them that way. Subscription records are linked to your email and can be found and removed.
